Hakusyu NAKAMOTO(中本 白洲)

Hakusyu Nakamoto was born in 1948, Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture

Nakamoto Hakusyu studied under Ishibashi Sansui. While being a calligraphy artist, he developed ‘brush type fonts, helping to bring calligraphy to the digital age.  He is known to be a pioneer of calligraphy and is devoted to helping calligraphy become more familiar to everyone.

Four appearances on ‘100 minutes' classic book series broadcasted by NHK
Developed a number of Japanese Computer Fonts

Among his extensive works are Sake bottle labels and fonts.
